Planting Our Winter Garden

So over summer we enjoyed so much fruit from our trees, eating, preserving, making jams etc. that the vegetable garden got forgotten about. We should have had cucumbers and pumpkin in ready for harvest in April but we didn't!

 What we finally planted in May (maybe a little late) was....

Capsicum
Chillies (still going strong)
Purple carrots
Orange carrots (from seeds we harvested last year)
Red onions
Chives
Spring onions (from seeds we harvested last year)
Snow peas
Broad beans
Green beans
Cos lettuce (from seeds we harvested last year)
Rocket lettuce (from seeds we harvested last year)
Beetroot
Red cabbage
White cabbage
Garlic (from dad)
Parsley (from seeds we harvested last year)???

Wow! When all that is ready for harvest there will be no need for me to go to the supermarket again!! Yippee!!
