Basil
A friend told me recently that she replants basil as a seasonal plant each year as it always dies off. I've never had them die off.... Because of one simple trick...I pick off any flowering branches / seeds. That's it! As soon as I see a flower I pull of that stalk. And if the plant is getting too big, I prune it slightly! So I always have basil on hand for pizzas, salads, and pastas! Yum!!
I have just prepared a new patch for vegies. What vegetables/herbs would you suggest I plant this time of year that can tolerate some shade?
