Family Holiday October 2013

It's been school holidays here, so we took our caravan to explore our 'own backyard'! We went to Robe on the limestone coast. Some of the things we got up to we're : looking at the very cool Tantanoola Caves, exploring the coast, four wheel driving (spending an hour and a half helping others and ourselves get off the beach! Boggy!!!), fishing, and my favourite - exploring the country towns! Beachport was beautiful with the longest jetty I've seen, we even saw a cray boat come in. Mount Gambier was very beautiful, the Blue Lake stunning. And Penola had a very nice surprise... There is a heritage listed cottage that the Sharam family lived in, in 1850, the surprise was that the families vegetable and herb garden is still looked after to this day! And the public can look through all of this for free, and for a donation that you think is fair you can take any herbs or excess produce that you like! Truly lovely that the families hard work is still appreciated, and that it's available for us to share! Penola also had a lot of random yarn bombing! Hilarious!!!

Here are some pictures.....
