Farm Life Update - Winter Is Here!
So it's arrived! WINTER! So many people hate winter, I used to be one of them! But now I love the change in seasons whatever it may be, as it means another season of delicious delights coming out of the garden! Oranges and mandarins are being consumed in huge amounts! (Hasn't stopped us getting our first cold of winter though!).
Things have been busy here ... I weeded all 6 raised garden beds (those winter weeds come up quickly!!), found a little buzzy friend in the garden!, been picking LOTS of eggplants, had lots of eggs too - hence all the profiteroles!, also made toffee apples for the first time! Did first aid on the dog - also a first. And LOTS AND LOTS of knitting! It is winter after all, what else is one to do whilst sitting by the beautiful warmth of a wood fire!
