My favourite part of growing our own food is our children's amazing appetite for it! I told them yesterday that unlike 'junk food' they don't have to ask us if they can eat the food we grow. The fact that they could eat these sweet nectarines when ever they wanted and how ever many they wanted made them squeal in delight!
Ahhh a very satisfying moment indeed! Happy children, happy parents.
They help us with every aspect of our gardening, they ask too. And it's the best education they can get. They know how to grow food! It's hands on, in the fresh air! Another satisfying moment!
