What do we preserve at Four Chooks Farm?

Part of the fun of growing your own food - is preserving the glut for later in the year when those fruits and vegetables are not available.

So I thought I would show you what's in our preserves cupboard :

Candied lemon peel
Sweet pickled cucumbers
Eggplant & Capsicum antipasto
Mint jelly
Beetroot relish
Nectarine jam
Apricot jam
Strawberry jam
Orange cordial
Lemon cordial
Lime cordial
Cured pork capicola
Cured pork sausages
Lemon butter (that I store in the fridge)

What else is usually in there (but we've eaten it all!) :

Passata
Bottled peaches
Bottles apricots
Bottles apples

So there you have it - a little insight to some of the things we make here at Four Chooks Farm!
